Forward High-Risk Orders to Slack for Manual Review

Setup is required before this template will work. Follow the steps below.

This workflow will send a Slack message to your team whenever a high-risk order is placed on your store. A high-risk order is defined as an order that Shopify recommends that you should cancel.

Follow the steps below to set up this workflow.

1.  Scroll down until you locate the Slack step in your workflow.

2. Select an existing Slack Credential or click on Add New Credential to create your first Slack Credential. Skip to Step 7 in this help document if you have already created a Slack Credential. The next few steps will go over how to connect MESA with Slack. 

3. To connect Slack and MESA together, follow this document to set up an incoming webhook on Slack

4. After you authorize the Slack App, you can find the webhook URL by clicking on Basic Information > Add features and functionality > Incoming Webhooks.

5. Click on the Copy button and go back to your workflow's Slack step. Paste the value into the Create Credential field. 

6. Then, click on the Add Credential button and select that Credential in your workflow's Slack step. 

7. At the top of the workflow, hit the Save button to save your changes.

8. Hit the Enable button when you are ready to start using the workflow.

Optional Customizations

You can edit the Message field to edit the Slack Message's text. You may use MESA's Tokens feature to add additional information. By default, the Slack message will contain the order's Shopify number and a Shopify Admin link to the order.
