# How do I cancel automations that are already in progress?

If you're looking to stop tasks in the "Ready" state, all related to a single workflow, turn the workflow responsible for those tasks to "off".

This won't immediately cancel all of those tasks, *but* those tasks will be instantly canceled as soon as MESA processes them because MESA does not run disabled workflows.
